Case Study | A State-of-the-Art Built-In Golf Simulator in Castle Pines Village, Colorado
Project Overview
In Castle Pines Village, Colorado, Roombldr partnered with the homeowner, a talented general contractor, multiple leading golf simulator manufacturers, and an interior designer to create a stunning, fully integrated built-in golf simulator room within the client’s new custom residence. The dedicated golf space was one of the homeowner’s top priorities and served as a major driver throughout the design and construction process, delivering year-round access to the game in Colorado’s challenging climate.
Client Needs
The homeowner wanted a premium, immersive golf experience featuring accurate ball-flight tracking, hyper-realistic graphics, and the ability to play famous courses (including local favorites). The multi-sport camera was the icing on the cake, which expands a golf sim into a versatile multi-sport and arcade entertainment system.
The room needed to fit seamlessly within the home’s architectural plans, providing generous swing space, room for multiple players, and a social/entertaining atmosphere. Aesthetic integration with the rest of the residence was essential, along with practical features such as club storage, comfortable viewing areas, and high-end finishes that felt like a private club rather than a typical basement space.
The Roombldr Way
Roombldr was brought in early to lead the simulator selection and room integration process. We researched and presented several top-tier simulator options, then facilitated a series of meetings between the homeowner, sales representatives from the different simulator companies, and our team. These discussions helped evaluate tracking technology, software capabilities, enclosure requirements, pricing, and long-term support.
Using the homeowner’s detailed house plans, optimized layouts were created that maximized swing clearance, screen/projector placement, and overall flow while ensuring safety and performance. Once the ideal simulator system was selected, we coordinated closely with the manufacturer (Full Swing) for technical specifications and installation planning.
The interior designer then added the luxurious finishing touches — custom paint, built-in shelving for clubs and accessories, elegant decor, a large television for additional viewing or entertainment, and thoughtfully designed lighting — creating an upscale, inviting atmosphere that perfectly complemented the home’s overall aesthetic.
Results
The completed built-in golf simulator room is a true centerpiece of the home. It delivers a professional-grade, immersive experience that allows the homeowner (and his family) to practice swings, play virtual rounds on world-class courses, and entertain friends in a beautiful, dedicated space — rain, snow, or shine.
The room blends seamlessly with the residence’s architecture and interior design, elevating both performance and visual appeal. What began as a vision for year-round golf has become a luxurious wellness and entertainment destination that adds significant value and enjoyment to the property.
This project highlights Roombldr’s expertise in coordinating complex active-recreation spaces — bridging cutting-edge technology, brand options, precise architectural integration, and high-end interior design through strong collaboration with homeowners, manufacturers, and design professionals.
